About the Adventure
Embark on one of the most thrilling and adventurous rafting experiences on the Ganges in Rishikesh. Covering an expansive stretch of 35+ kilometers, this rafting trip takes half a day and is offered only when the river runs high. A minimum group size of 6 people is required to undertake this exhilarating journey.
Starting from Kaudiyala, approximately an hour’s drive from Rishikesh, this stretch features Grade III and III+ rapids, including the famous Grade IV rapid called “The Wall.” Known for its excitement, this rapid occasionally flips rafts—a fun and adventurous twist accompanied by safety measures and expert guides.
You’ll spend 4-5 hours on the river navigating through 12 rapids of varying intensity, including:
- Daniel’s Dip (Grade III+)
- The Wall (Grade IV)
- Three Blind Mice (Grade III+)
- Cross Fire (Grade III+)
- Club House (Grade III)
This adventure concludes near Laxman Jhula, from where it’s a short drive back to the main road.
Best Time to Go
Trips are available from September to June, avoiding the monsoon season for safety. The months between September and June offer the best rafting conditions.
