Himalayan Blue Sheep was born from a lifelong dream of our founder and team leader, Anup Panwar, who grew up surrounded by the rugged beauty of the Himalayas. Raised in a remote village in Uttarkashi, Anup learned to live in harmony with nature from an early age. This upbringing, combined with his passion for adventure and his vast experience, shaped the vision for Himalayan Blue Sheep—to offer unique glimpses into the raw, untouched beauty of the Himalayas.
Anup’s journey began with a fascination for mountaineering, inspired by the adventurers visiting his hometown. After completing his studies, he pursued professional mountaineering training at the prestigious Nehru Institute of Mountaineering, where he earned certifications in both basic and advanced courses. This equipped him with the skills and knowledge to lead treks and expeditions with confidence and expertise.
